Bi-Metal Bearings

Product Description

Bi-Metal Bearings are engineered bush bearings made using two bonded layers: a steel backing layer for strength and rigidity, and a bronze or copper alloy inner layer for superior wear resistance and low friction. Some grades include overlays of tin, lead, graphite, or PTFE to enhance self-lubrication and load-bearing properties. These bearings are widely used in rotating, reciprocating, and heavy mechanical load environments such as electric motors, submersible pumps, diesel engines, and compressors.
